Best coffee and hot chocolate in Melbourne

7 Grams on Church St in Richmond. The best coffee I’ve had in my entire life.

Made 2 doors up from me. Big tick of approval

Brunetti is the second worst coffee of all time.
Pablo instant is the worst.

this is my kind of thread…

ray

brother baba budan

first pour

tre biccieri (almond milk granita’s with an espresso shot)

----- the only good thing about atomica are the beans they send to ray

i forgot tre bic.

man, you people and your atomica hate. maybe they just make nicer coffee for me.

Tough call I reckon, Evan.

When you pay $3+, wait for ages and then leave it on the table a 1/4 of the way through cause it is so bad, You get a bit pissed.
Their ricotta canolli is awesome though.

there was a photo of erle out sitting outside of atomica on google maps a while back.

My secret shame revealed! Who are you dnzr?

Marios in fitzroy for coffee…dont know about hot chocs though

There has to be others, but this is the only place I’ve found so far that has different grinders with different beans and blends in them. When you order, you can tell the barrister how strong you like your coffee and they choose a bean to suit. I’m lovin the Indian atm, roasted three times, nice and strong and goes really well with soy milk.

Must…resist…temptation…to make bad legal joke…

Why do you have to tell a barrister anything? Are you under oath?

WTF does soy milk have to do with coffee ???

i’m happy with I Roast at my nan’s place.

Is the coffee really getting THAT much better? Or are you trying to stay ahead of the crowds and drop names of places that are cool and serve great coffee today, but will be mainstream and suddenly sell shit coffee tomorrow?
Or is that the coffee makers are on a merry go round and the good ones keep changing places? Its hard to imagine that is the case.

hehehe, i really am a grumpy turd on this forum these days, but not intentionally.

Useful thread! I’ll be checking out some of these spots when I get to Melb.

This thread proves that y’all a bunch of fixie cafe posuers…

I’ll smile to you all as I’m sitting enjoying my Brunetti’s Italian Hot Choc… haha

Oh, and I also like the Italian Pizza joint on the corner of Little Bourke/Hardware lane- don’t know the name, but that’s my locale.

Baba Booscha or whatever the hell it’s called (help me sarah!) serves up a pretty good, STRONG coffee too. Hard to actually get a seat though.
Of course, you don’t SIT there, you merely stand outside beside your fixie posuering.

Never mind luvvy, why not have yourself a weak skinny soy chai latte (with a drizzle of manuka honey) and a nice lie down?

haha you’re very close horatio … it’s “brother baba budan”

wolfgang gullach once said “you don’t go climbing then for coffee, coffee is part of climbing”

or “they both start with a C”.

so coffee and cycling
