three leading, three trailing
I’m impressed. Does anyone have an idea regarding how it compares strength-wise to a three-cross pattern?
Around 73% on average. Although it may vary according to the vintagocity of the components.
Also on the beadedness of the rims…
I recall something by either jobst brandt or gerd schraner or somebody similar that this pattern doesn’t stack up too well in terms of lateral strength, about on a par with crow’s foot, but hey they’re both firmly in the “32 3x or 36 3x or 4x and anything else is bullshit” camp. They look pretty but for mine I couldn’t be arsed figuring out the different spoke lengths, much less lacing, tensioning and truing the friggin’ things.
