I have lined up a support car that will fit your tents and bo gear duffel bags.
Issue with the trains that weekend is that there will be buses covering part of the train service. Not ideal for getting there and home. Plan b will be to find a start point out of the way and car pool there

Do we need to book a site the showgrounds to camp or?
Pretty sure we don’t. I think there is just a massive area and you just find your own space.
I’m keen and can get work off… But I’ve never done an over nighter so I don’t have any frame bags. Is it a terrible idea to just bring my backpack, it’s a hiking one with straps.
Also just double checking, would this ride be okay on my ridley, should I swap out my zipps for the stocks it came with and get some tred tires?
If you’re comfortable with a bag on your back for a few hours then go for it I reckon.
Your zipps might cop a beating on the gravel. But I don’t know how rough it is tbh.

Will be away that weekend but if ur looking for gravel on the first day ive ridden lake moogerah road on the roady on a ride from ipswich and back once. A few extra kms but a nice view round the lake on the way back to boonah.
