ride report pls!
Shirts, Geordie, Ryan and I got away close to 9am from the Gabba and made our way down Logan Rd. We picked up Red about 5 minutes later and soon after we were being harassed by passing motorists rushing to get to IKEA and other important places on their Saturday. We didn’t have to worry though as before long we were jetting down the B-roads next to the Pacific Highway and out of harms way. We were making good time and decided to break for coffee at the 50km mark. As we resumed we made the decision to go as far as Nerang and turn in towards the GC there instead of going across the top through runaway bay. We passed the odd roadie on the way, and the blue skies and gentle breeze made riding conditions absolutely superb. We came through Nerang and went in towards Broadbeach and turned off down Bermuda St to head south towards Burleigh. We stopped at lunchtime at a shopping strip and grabbed a few drinks and bites, rode to a local park and kicked back. The park was only a block from the brewery so when we were done with lunch we hopped on over. For the rest of the afternoon we drank and listened and quizzed the head brewer about his brewery and beer. The Hef was delicious, and the lager pretty damn good as well. At around 4 we hopped back to the station and caught the train back home. 90km of riding and average of 29.5km/h. To all who missed it you missed a bloody awesome day out, so make sure you come on the next one.

When is the next one Dan? Tambo mt, double up brewery and distillery. Or Sunshine coast?
i was just looking up breweries and Mount Tamborine looks pretty good, i’d be up for this

But Scott did pop around to my place last weekend so I would assume he is here in Brisbane for a little while.
Yeah, I’m thinking that a trip to Tambo should be next. Might take a look at the calendar and put a date down soon. Watch this space.
