Anyone know if any shops in Melbourne sell it?
Got a set of CKs on a new bike and figure I’d better lube the rear.
Or anyone had success with an alternative lube for the ring drive?
thanks
Mike

Don’t know about retailing it, but I’d bet that Fitzroy Revolution have it, plus the tools to overhaul.
Cheers
From what I understand lubing the ring drive is possible with a couple of allen keys, but I’m gonna contact the guy I bought the bike off to see if the hubs have had a overhaul/re-grease lately.
Thought I had some in the Aladdin’s cave but I don’t.
Lubing the ring drive is very easy to DIY and yeah, takes a couple of Allen keys. You’ll find instructions on the CK site. The CK lube is a very thin cream, I don’t know if there is a recommended or usable alternative, or a local retailer for the CK lube. If not Fitzroy Rev at worst you could get some mailed out by Mike and the guys at Aspire (AVT - Aspire VeloTech - Chris King World’s Largest Dealer). A small bottle will last for years.
Is the king grease a lithium based lube?
I just pulled the cassete body of my tunes to investigate a noise,
The grease was pretty dry and had turned to shit so I had to re use my lithium stuff,
Thanks Captain.
Fitzroy Rev. did have some, $30 for a small bottle, I bought the last one apparently.
And they also have the CK tools to overhaul hubs if anyone is interested.
I have no idea whats in the ring lube.
But a little 1.2oz bottle will do 12 hub ‘overhauls’ apparently.
Turns out I have the older 'disc-o-tech- CK hubs, which have a Univerisal to ISO disc adapter plate.
Neat engineering but needed a gear puller extractor thing to get it off so I could access the bearing preload collar which it turned out had a 3/32" allen key head!?
So I now own a cheap set of imperial allen keys.
