There’s a few good (new) choices around there.
For starters, Mecca has a little outpost on Harris St.
Cafe Giulia in Chippendale is worth a little walk, quite an institution, and the little one on Abercombie St called Something for Jess has some good food.
A couple of others I’ve only passed by near the Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre too, but they look like they’ve got a good gig going.

Pisco Sour @ the roundabout Meagher st is my favorite in that area, cheap too and friendly.
Past 5pm go to the La Mumma del Gelato which is the gelato place at Central Park.
Anyone got any recommendations for late-ish coffee in the CBD? Past 3 and 5pm??
