not only is the 2010 closer to the mechanical internals of chorus/record/SR
it’ll be cheaper on the bay right now as it’s not the latest stuff
and i’d say only a couple of hundred dollars more than buying an old SR gruppo

I went the modern group for my mid/late 80’s colnago master (got a 2012 centaur groupset) then got some record hubs laced to mavic open pro’s
I did think about going the period correct groupset, think i started a thread on here about it too…
As it’s a commuter and not just a sunday ride, i figured a new groupset might be a bit more reliable and easier to get parts for when the time comes
Don’t worry, I respected it (although i did put a newer groupset on it). Those tyres were only temporary as well, now has gumwall veloflex tyres.
