I’ve owned this bike for just over two years now and thought it was time that I actually took some proper photos of it.
I originally bought this bike as a way to get back into cycling, after many years of not riding and a couple of back injuries I decided it was time to have another crack. I didn’t have a big budget so my options were to buy something brand new that I knew I probably wouldn’t love, or get something a bit nicer second hand.
I found this on eBay within my budget, and while I’m not the biggest Colnago fan there was something about it that kept me coming back to look at it, so I ended up pulling the trigger, and I’m glad I did!
As far as I can tell its an 88-89 Colnago Superissimo, with SLX tubing before they changed to Brain tubing later on. Campy Chorus 8 speed group (apart from FD which is Record) which isn’t original, more like 95-97? Along with 3t cockpit, Flite saddle and FIR rims.
Ive done just over 5000 k’s on it, but it has been switched from strava bruiser to weekend cruiser recently and doesn’t see as much action these days.
