Apart from weight, is there any practical difference between a wire bead version of a tyre, and the kevlar bead?
I can get gatorskins in 700*25, which I guess is only a touch smaller than the 28’s I wanted. Am I likely to notice much difference?
You might notice a bit of difference but I reckon 25’s ride fine.
Ok, Ended up getting a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Kevlar tyres from Wiggle. Will see how they go when they get here. They were very cheap, $27 each, and got a set of tyre liners as well. Can never be too careful!
