I had a rad day. Nothing like tearing through city streets, not knowing who’s in front of you or who’s behind you, the excitment of getting a really good run from one checkpoint to the next, random acts of teamwork, the feeling of hitting the wall and then just pushing on through anyway, drinking beers in dirty pools, being so fucked you can’t write your own name, having the best tasting cider ever straight after the race, winning shit, then selling it for beer, and then getting horribly drunk.

next thing i know there is a pint in front of me and im sitting outside flagging down crew as they head home… and then i got kidnapped by the partybus.
Had a pretty good day down on the checkpoint, next time i’m not gonna party like it’s 1999 the night before the race and will join in.

Had a nice stack by riding into my mates rear wheel after the Weston Street checkpint, but thought it will be ok cause i was smart enough to pick up a packet of Pork Chops from the flagstaff flagpole checkpoint.
Was absoultely gutted when Lane said he had no idea what i was talking about and that i stole someones Pork…
