Not sure about the chainring option on the Ritchey

Chris Bishop’s personal SSCX rig

the paint job and lugs around the headtube on Bishop’s bikes are lush!

i’m falling in love with this Cube:

stolen for exif

Rear cable housed through the right seat stay!

Not a CXer, but perfect for the Gravel Grinds…

TUFF SETUP

What’s the collective noun for a group of RS? A sex of Sachs?

I’m liking this

From here. Sime, take note of his sweet single ring setup!

that’s a hot tamale, Nik!

from the same article, I want a bike fully decked out in SL-K components… oh yeah

you know, when i first started geeking out on cross stuff i wasnt that taken by sk-k, but this opinion has changed considerably. their new brakes (that i saw shots of from sea otter or something) looked very tasty.

i also saw the new shimano cx brakes in the flesh a couple of weekends ago. total meh aesthetically. they were also described as ‘average’ compared to shorty ultimates, but it was noted that they might not have bedded in yet (they had one ride on them).

waiting for canti’s to bed in is nearly the poorest excuse i’ve heard in the defence of Canti’s!

That’s just Shimano’s excuse. I love cantis !

all brakes need to bed in before they work properly

I’d bet this bike goes fast…

Here’s a MTB thats worthy of being included in a CX thread:

MTB c.1978

Oh my…
Full internal rear brake cable, runs down the TT then the seat stay, possible due to the ISP. No brake bridge either… check the front mud clearance!

Stevens CEO (?) is calling hydro Shimano Di2 in the next couple of years (no suprise really… but hurry up!!)

stevens has been pushing the disc brake wagon for a couple of years (niels albert had one last year but never used it). there were a couple of other brands with them at eurobike. its definitely getting closer… i’d need to dig to find the link that had all the new tech, but there were even a few ‘road’ frames with them.

However… old school ain’t such a bad place to be:

from here (i like everything, but those brakes… which are hideous)
