This Saturday 19th July we celebrate the midway point of the 2014 Le Tour de France.
SBS’s Cycling Central will be joining the party and finding out what Fitzroy’s sleep deprived tour faithful have to say about the state of the big race. Head down early and celebrate in your best cycling attire for your chance to be interviewed and your mug appear on SBS - coast to coast. Doors open at 7pm with Fancy Hanks BBQ and for those who arrive before 9pm, complimentary champagne on arrival. For one night only, Domestique in conjunction with G’Vine Gin will host a dedicated cocktail bar serving classic French cocktails featuring the finest spirits from the Cognac region.
Triple R’s LA Pocock will be providing pre race tunes and DJ Chestwig taking it to the limit. The SBS HD broadcast will hit the cinema screen when live race coverage commences, open till the guys hit the finish line.

This July The Shadow Electric is proud to present key stages of Le Tour de France, the race that stops a nation (sleeping). In it’s 3rd year in an exciting new venue, Domestique will once again lend its cozy confines to cycling enthusiasts, wandering night owls and arm chair commentators.
Every year this gets bigger. What started out 3 years ago as a few friends getting together to watch the tour, has become a real fixture for Le Tour devotees. Melbournians, of all walks, appear in droves to spend time together in the dead of the night, in the dead of winter. It’s a wonderful thing.
This year’s venue down in the heart of Fitzroy is our best venue yet. We have the space to put on great food, bicycle parking, music and ping pong.
Food from Fancy Hank’s BBQ every Friday and Saturday, Polish dumplings from Pierogi Pierogi on other nights.
Every Friday and Saturday night will feature Dj’s from 7pm including LA Pocock, Simon TK, Otologic, Ms Butt and more.
Screenings will cover all mountain stages and the ever important time trial. Domestique boasts a large indoor screen, HD projection, gas heating, food and a late night license.
