No, but can be expensive and time consuming to build the fork, curve the brake mounts etc
On my mates Roadrat, the caliper mounts on the front of the fork, which is steel.
^ thats so they didn’t have to alter the orientation of the fork end opening. (so that wheel doesn’t drop out of the forks under hard braking).
Road rat stock forks have always been steel, so’s the stock fork on the “X”
Oh shit! You know what’s just happened to this thread. H has gone and highjacked it to quibble over some inane detail… Nice.
I wonder if it has a low BB? Hmmmm??
My Drakkar still has a crack at doing this with forward facing dropouts, it hasn’t succeeded yet it’s also slightly over-tired atm which cant be helping. The price you pay for smooooooth rolling forks I guess.
Trek is a throwback to ‘klunkers’ of old which are becoming cool again.
Come on! It was an honest question…
Beardo question for Blakey, due to brake reach not being an issue do you think the tricross is a possible 650b conversion candidate?
10 speed Tiagra is the most underrated groupset on the market and this bike is fucking awesome.
/thread
Hehehe AND he was wrong…
dunno about the Specialized but the Cotics run their BBs quite high
What is retail on one of these?
would rather have the current ten speed tiagra than the current 105 or ultegra. ntbd.
Why, better shifting because of old style gear cabling routing?
Nah, cos easy trolling. HMC doesn’t even LIKE bikes.
