Favour to ask of a Melbournite

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone who frequents the city could do me a big favour. There is a certain trackbike sitting at John_Wardle architects on Russell street in the foyer to my knowledge. I was wondering if someone would be able to pop in there with a camera… And take a photo of it for me. I do not believe you will need to go much past the elevator to see it…

The address is:

Level 10
180 Russell St
Melbourne

If anyone is able to do this, I’d… Be most appreciative!

Tchuss, nick

I assume this is the track bike you sold as part of your art exhibition.

I’ll see what I can do this afternoon (only got a camera phone on me, but I’m sure someone in the library will have a camera I can borrow).

I’ve got a mate at Wardl_ [edited so it doesnt come up in search] architects, see what I can do!

lats

you guys rock!

yes, it is my old track bike.

maybe lats if you have a mate you can email, you could check if it is even in the lobby or not? - if not, it saves someone trekking all the way there.

Fine. Don’t bother asking me…

cvnt.

Im not going to take pics of it. im going to TAKE it… (evil laugh) and sell it with a BIN of $50 on ebay (more evil laugh)

Achtung.

Say hi to Mo and Gary at Keirin for me.

oi!

i asked EVERYONE and that INCLUDES you

ya cvnt!

Spoke to my mate over the weekend.

She doesn’t work there anymore. Left about a month ago, but it was there then she said.

Hope this helps a bit.

lats

great news

well, cvnt if you got a spare moment in the city and no one else has time, i’d love it if you rode in and took a pic

n

‘cvnt’ was directed at sir trackcunt btw lats.

i re-read it, and it kind sounded like i was talking about you

ha ha.

nup.

I knew who you were referring too!!

I got distracted by the fixed bike porn at locked up all over RMIT last Friday… But I’m going to Postal for lunch today, which is nearby.

I’m on it,

Trying to get another architect at the firm to get a pic or at least confirm if its there.

lats

I got distracted by a 1970s Apollo (possibly custom, miles above any other Apollo I’ve seen), campag drops, quality tubing, full ~1975 Dura-ace groupset, high end araya 700c rims, crappy seat, pushed all the way into the frame, $5 lock holding the top tube to a flimsy bike rack at the ANU last night. Criminal ignorance! I left “a note” on it offering to buy it.

Nick.

The bike is still there.
Also, I am able to arrange for an photo to be taken by one of the architects in the office. She is unsure whether it is still in its correct position.

Can you describe to me where it should be located in the foyer, or I can give your details to her and she will arrange for a pic to be taken as required.

Let me know, and I’ll try and get it sorted out this week.

Cheers

Oh save the poor thing! It sounds like it needs a good home!

Ok, I stuck my nose in and couldn’t find it. Talked with some guy, but he was a lay-man knew nothing of track bikes. But the mission wasn’t a total loss because the cute girl was working at Postal which is nearby.

One should always have ulterior motives.

rogue: thanks a bunch for trying! maybe it has been moved inside the office?

lats: to be honest, i have no idea where it should be, or where it is! i know it was possibly going near the front door, but thats the last i heard. they could have moved it further into the office so it cant be seen from the lift, or they may have packed it up! or… or maybe they decided to ride it!

thanks so much guys!

So…

do you want any sort of pic of it in particular?

Cheers
Lats

no, not really. just something that nicely shows it’s context in the space… don’t be too concerned though, it’s really just for my own personal documentation
