Watched The Impossible last night, thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m a sucker for a true story, and in this case I didn’t think the cinematic adaption strayed to far from the actual events.
Machete Kills - out tomorrowMACHETE KILLS - Official Trailer #2 (2013) [HD] - YouTube
Saw Gravity at 3D IMAX on the weekend. I’m not a film guy but I thought it was great. The two friends I was with (who are both really into movies) thought it was boring though. Maybe they’ve seen too many comicbook action movies lately or something.
Finally finished up John Carter… horrible movie.
Although I get some satisfaction from watching huge epic movies that just flat out bomb at the box office.
Finally saw The Amazing Spider-Man last night… adequate, not sure it needed another reboot.
Sightseers on the other hand is well worth a look.
Went and saw 12 Years a Slave on the weekend; was a hard watch and kind of phenomenal.
Highly recommend it.
Watched this last night,
Pretty good as an actual movie and excellent to take the piss out of whilst watching
Hard drinking cops, backroom betting, kangaroo shooting, lots of West end draught drunk, its got everything.
Have another beer mate!
Watched Wild Bill again this weekend, so far the best film I’ve seen of the year.
it’s a pretty great film, and the story behind it even better. (master copy being lost, etc, etc.)
Don’t be Afraid of the Dark.
Good performances from some Aus actors, worth watching just to see the son from Mother and Son remove a servant girls teeth with a chisel and a hammer… Plus the “Evil Fairies” looked really good.
The Act of Killing. Recommended if documentaries are your thing. Sounds broad, but it’s that good.
just watched Perfect Sense with Ewan McGregor. he has a sweet fixie biek.
it was filmed in Glasgow & I longed to be there.
was well worth the watch.
jeezus fuck. The trailer for that goes from light hearted romantic comedy to crazy intense craziness real fast.
sounds like Glasgow.
Watched Down Terrace, aside from A Field in England have finally gotten around to seeing all of Ben Wheatleys movies.
This would have to be the best so far.
Man, Sharknado on Go just now…
what a massive steaming pile of hilarious shit.
American Hustle - best crime film since Goodfellas!
Watched Springbreakers last night.
I liked it, a few people weren’t that keen but we all agreed it was worth a watch just for Franco’s “Look at my shit” bedroom scene.
