So does any one race it? How does it work, there’s a trip to France up for grabs.
The trip to France is a raffle, so anyone can win.
You race it by taking your time, doing all the cobbled sections, getting lost, stopping at pubs / bakeries / etc. having fun with your mates (old and new), then looking at the bike porn at the end.
This is how we did it last year:
Chilled out and waited for Dylan at the start, then lost him 10 min in.
Rode, made good time then stopped for a chicken Parma so big that it would choke a pelican.
Ate it all and drank beer.
Realised we had only an hour left so pedalled off feeling full and slightly sick.
Smashed the koppenberg, then smashed into the ground at flemington drains.
Got to the finish, in time, and then went to the pub where stories and jolly times abound.
I think you can do the Roobaix many different ways, they are all the right way
Last year was fucking awesome.
