it’s been a while, but i’m back at track this week.
maybe for one night only, but we’ll see how my workload goes.

hey, when’s coburg crit season?

about 6 months away…when daylight savings comes back.

ah.

so, instead of crits, how about track tonite rolly???

i’m kinda over my sickeness, i’ll be racing tonite.

i think my knee will forever hold me back from racing if i’m quite honest. that and the fact that my licence has lapsed and i don’t have the funds to buy another one.

i have been thinking about getting down to thursday nights again though, just for general fitness…

ignore the above post. after a chat with ol mate K O, I’ll be down at DISC next Tuesday for a test run/race.

what grade is good for a very out of form bloke with a potentially sketchy knee? juniors?

D - altho the racing there is a bit scratchy as they’ve dropped E grade (i’m sure a Sean/Che/Kit can shed some more light).

lately there’s been a juniors or three racing in D and C, as well as a full womens grade now.

well, needless to say, I’d much rather get my arse handed to me in a grade that won’t be sketchy than hold on til the end but be constantly worrying about having my wheel chopped etc…

guess I’ll speak to Dave & alf (is alf still there every week?!) & do what I’m told.

Did KO give you a full rev up speech like a footy coach in the 70s?

nah.

I haven’t seen Alf since i started going again after Easter. Gabe has been behind the books.

Yep, alf not being around pretty much means it’s a free for all. C grade can get some decent numbers, if B grade looks smaller i’d go B.

Agreed. Plus if the pace feels a bit hot, you can always word Dave up and demote yourself to a lower grade for the rest of the night.

really?! you reckon I should have a crack at B?!

maybe we’ll compromise & go C…
