dammit, i was hoping DISC would stay closed until i went o/s so that when I came back i would have a perfect excuse for sucking
I will still suck but with no excuse - apart from work and that’s upsetting
Yes! Now to see if a few months of gym work makes any difference on the track…
I’M COMING FOR YA TATTS!!!
hahaha.
All Brunswick FOA members need to get their entry in for the John Sewell Memorial Handicap this Saturday. Gotta reprahzent.
Flat, fast course.
Get on it.
If I wasn’t doing the Whittlesea challenge on Sunday I’d be in for sure.
Do both, Markee. Back it up! I did two 90km races weekend before last (it sucked though).
Haha thanks for the encouragement but I do need to spend some of my free weekend with my new wife ![]()
this. and one of you better win.
All of us will be a chance being outmarkers! Greenmachine/HMC/Squiggle/P-dub/Gink, you guys should be able to bring home the chocoloates!
Drove up to Glenrowan last Saturday to race a 40km (ended being actually 39.1km) ITT run by Wangaratta CC. It was a challenging undulating course, exposed to the wind and on dead roads. Finished in 55:53 - a 42 km/hr average.
Ended with my second win from the last two starts - 13 seconds ahead of the consistently fast Wangaratta local Tully Lyster.
Mr Miller, I presume? That. Is. Rocketing. Well done!
Not gplama, the other Lama… Mr Miller was racing Metro’s so unfortunately a no show at Glenrowan and I’d expect his average speed would have been at least a couple of km/hr faster!
Happy with an 8 Watt increase in FTP from Latrobe CC 40km ITT 4 weeks ago which gave me an increase of 0.4km/hr. So FTP is heading in the right direction.
Ah, Mr Lama… You’re an rocket just the same!
What does FTP stand for? Flatulence Transition Pressure? How can you estimate that increase in speed so accurately? Particularly with so many variables?
Usually predetermined on the drive up with the windows closed - volume plus density = thrust to be provided on the day…
it’s just a matter of time before shane comes over to fixed.org. we talk about racing here more than they do at BV these days.
i’ve had the enthusiastic mr duggan encouraging me to give this a crack for the last hour. email the other half…
no deal. we have a cocktail party for her work on friday night and i’ve been advised it’s probably unlikely.
shitty.
oh rolly…
i hope you aren’t complaining about free cocktails…
FTP is also known as Functional Threshold Power - or the power you can generate for an hour. You then use this value to calculate your training zones so you can then focus training sessions to the zones that provide the best adaption…
