don’t drink too much roly, can’t be hungover for the farmers market on saturday
Whoa. So it’s safe to assume you’re right into the science of it all Mr Lama?
I’m just riding a lot at the moment. Motorpacing for the win.
that was last weekend smartarse, and we didn’t make it.
tate, i’m definitely not complaining about the free cocktails, how else do you think i’m gonna make it through the night?? i’ll likely enjoy them less on saturday morning however…
he does race masters, steve…
too busy picking out new curtains?
yeah yeah yeah
Nice if you can do it SteveZero! Getting older now so have had to focus on quality rather than quantity; I just can’t go and smash myself day in day out anymore…
So science it is - Power meters, windtunnel session back in 2008 and surfing science journals for papers relevant to aerodynamics and training methodology.
Holy crap! Man, makes me feel underdone!
fuck man, i love curtains too!
And I know how much you love Masters athletes brendan…
You will also be old one day! ![]()
well, the alternative sucks.
Personally not bothered with separate Masters racing, as long as there is the possibility of still racing events such as the individual pursuit on the track. And before you suggest racing States or Nationals elite, I don’t think it fair on the other riders I line up in the pursuit with the elites. I would only get in their way as they try to get into squads or OS teams and potentially make a career of riding.
I have already competed at the highest level in my younger days in another sport, so respect others aspirations and will not to get in their way. But I also enjoy pushing my physical limits in all the sports I have done over the years (usually only moving onto the next sport when stopped by injuries) and have found Masters racing allows me to ride events I otherwise couldn’t such as the pursuit.
yes, but do you like farmers markets?
rolly loves them.
prolly wrong thread for this, dude.
Sorry, just took (mistook???) your comment as condescending… I have been using structured training blocks since the late 80’s, so not sure how doing so now racing bikes is possibly a bad thing just because I am older?
Hell yes! Good quality produce straight from the farmer. Rolly knows best!
he will be stoked to hear it. He doesn’t stop talking about them.
It’s all good, Brendan. Racing talk is racing eh? I might race Masters track champs this year as an introduction, and Elite next year…
I hope everyone is entered the John Sewell. Rolly even tried twice to get a day pass… Goodonya, Rolly.
yeah, just a throwaway comment, not meant with any malice whatsoever. things are a little less serious over here at FOA.
My apologies then…
