When’s FOA gonna do an event that’s not in Melbz?
when someone decides they want to run one.
the last two occasions people have expressed their interest in running something similar to what we do in melbourne, i have offered my assistance and help, and nothing came of either. that’s not a criticism, that’s just what happened.
i was literally talking today about the need for more events in other cities.

you know a ton of people in sydney, why don’t you organise a sydney version, i bet you’d get some tasty bikes there…?

I’d organise something but I don’t like being held accountable and I’m an omnipotent despot (don’t listen to anyone else, only do things my way, don’t trust others, etc). So I don’t think it’s my place or position to do such under the FoA banner. I just don’t do well under a committee.

no need to apologise, the tone of my reply wasn’t one of anger or anything, just that that’s the brief history of things since we’ve started trying to run regular events.
I want to run events elsewhere, as does nickj, and there was discussion a while ago about how to make FOA less FOMelb in terms of events. it’ll happen, but based on the simple fact that I am in Melbourne it makes it a little trickier.
but it can, and will, be done.
