hey dudes, I’m building up a single speed for my mrs, who doesn’t ride much at all at the moment. Anyone got any advice on gear ratio?
I’ve got a spare 52 chainring sitting around, so thinking around 21 cog on the back – delivering about 65 gear inches… That’ll be easy enough for her to get around inner city Melb yeah?
Go lower. And use the search function.
i’d go lower. 66-70 imo.
i’ve got 45/17 (~71 inches) on both my fixed and SS bikes
if you’re gonna use that chainring i’d go for a 20 or 21t cog, especially if she doesn’t ride that much.
