Anyone know if this is possible on a bike?
Went up around there this afternoon, it sort of made sense to turn down Settlement Rd but I wussed out at the 'No Unauthorised Entry" signs ACTEW had up.
Is it just a case of bite the bullet and go up?
Yep it’s doable, I did it on my cx. Fairly runny gravel, but manageable incline. Not particularly memorable. When I did it there were no actew signs. I also walked up a few times with the kids.
Have you tried from the carpark half way up Mt McDonald? It looks like there’s walking tracks up there.

Ok, i’ll wing it. I’m hoping for a nice enough view comparable to Corin for when I don’t have the juice to get all the way there. Used to hate the climb out of the Cotter but somehow I smash it these days.
