i was looking through ebay and spotted this conversion

take a look at the drive side crank. look to be a pair of old single peice cranks that the top chainwheel has been ground off.

so much dodgy creative shit on ebay.

Makes me sick. Someone could die from that shit. People need to think seriously about duty of care before they put their bullshit armchair engineering and backyard mechanics up for sale.
