So does anybody else have a pair of these DEEEP rims?

I was riding them back in Hong Kong, it was my friend’s wheelset. They are pretty good, most importantly it does look pretty sexy. Unfortunately the price is pretty expensive for China Made rims, especially AUD is relatively low at this moment.
Also for your information I only heard of one explosion rim…sooo I guess it should be ok.

Old topic, but I’m interested in purchasing a set of these- where do you buy them from?
Does anyone in Aus stock them? Or should I just get them off the website? Also, is the shipping cost going to be $$$$$$?

as far as i know noone in aus stocks them. Postage is somewhere around $50.
i take it you want the SL42’s, the ones with the braking surface?
the website appears to be the only place you can get the polished ones i have
you can find them cheaper on ebay and benscycles (or eighthinch) rebranded as julian rims. though i think they might only be the formation face (no brakes).

Yeah I think you could be right Nath, all I know is that they’re on the website and I’ve seen them in the store. Certainly does not imply that Erik is sourcing and stocking them.

If anally-retentive road cyclists are considering them on Weight Weenies forum as a cheap aero racing rim, they can’t be too bad…
Ordered mine and will give a report once built up. I think my 110 kgs should give them a decent test out.

Yep direct from the website. pretty exy shipping i think it was $55.
And yes i did buy them mostly for the look. Tell me a person who doesn’t buy something with aesthetics in mind.
