Happy 30th Birthday...

…Lotus 1-2-3.

I’m pretty sure Mckenny was at the party.

fun ad. I feel a little old now as I remember using Lotus.

At the bottom of the article there’s a link to an emulator that lets you run visicalc, (the author of the article wrote visicalc, the first spreadsheet ever), for real old timey fun.

Not spreadsheet related, but my work uses an 8 year old version of lotus notes. It’s a dog of a program.

That used to be me. Outdated, unsupported, and a 100mb mailbox limit. It was easier to work out of the archive.

They’ve been talking about a migration to outlook for at least 5 years, but no-one has the balls to actually make it happen.

I knew this pain… for 3 months till they upgraded to outlook, kept the 100mb inbox and disabled archiving to make things interesting though, disabled USB and CD/DVD as well not that i cared much i just meant i did even less work and to a worse standard (if such a thing is even possible)

My office uses the whole Lotus suite. emails, documents, spreadsheets the whole deal

There is no talk of updating.

We finally migrated from Lotus Notes to Outlook 2 months ago.

It was like all my christmas’s came at once.
