They were about 4 or 5 months old I think.
I’m pretty sure it’s the fact that I’ve been riding brakeless for the past few weeks. I ordered a set of dolan forks with a brakehole so I can ride with a brake and they only arrived this week.
having to ride brakeless and I could tell that I would ruin the bars pretty quick. I don’t like skidding or skip stopping since I don’t like swapping out tires every two weeks, so it’s just been citiy riding with lots of acceleration/deceleration and the bars just didn’t hold up to it when you’re using your legs to brake.
the ride now. slowly saving for more parts since it feels criminal riding with these wheelsets at the moment (still stupidly fast)

ok, add a chain to my list. Felt something give as I gave it some stick at a green light. Crunched all the way home gingerly, gave it a clean only to discover the damage.
Buy a D.I.D pro racing NJS chain, or a izumi super toughness - both from track supermarket, and cut out the stupid connector pin so there is no quick link in the chain.
