Help me identify this wheel I saw

I saw a fairly new Bianchi road bike locked up on Little Bourke St this morning. I was in a rush so I couldn’t look too closely, but I noticed the bike had a unique looking wheelset. On the front wheel (I think), it had quite a deep section, but was heavily milled out, something like this:

The wheelset definitely said ‘Made in Italy’, but I couldn’t see the brand. And it definitely wasn’t Campagnolo.

Any ideas? They looked really nice!

nice sketch. gipiemmes?

Not sure about the wheel, but do you do family portraits? :stuck_out_tongue:

YES!

I think it could be those Gipiemme’s! Eagle eyes!
I reckon they look hot.
Are they totally obsolete now, or can you buy them somewhere?

i’m sure if you set a saved search on poobay a set will show up… here’s some in italy, apparently 20 euro shipping to oz (doubtful):

The model is called the Gipiemme Grecal Parade it would seem.
From Google, it looks like they’re about 4-5 years old, super to look at, but not very durable.
16H isn’t very many is it…
I love how they are completely unique looking.

Stars do a simmilar thing don’t they? The cheap ones you see on eBay.
