Mum came over last weekend and helped me make a start on mine. I’m following the If I had a bike blog pattern and guide but using buttons/eyelets/elastic cord on the flaps instead of velcro and I think I’ll stitch the main body to the side panels internally so I don’t have to bind the edges. I’m using polyester canvas from Spotlight and bought bias tape instead of making my own like they did. I think including printing the pattern and the packets of eyelets I’ve spent less than $70 on enough stuff to do at least 2 bags, maybe 3.
Back pocket, elastic cord is from an outdoors store, only 90c per metre
Front pocket and flap. The strip is reflective piping from Lincraft that I unstitched and flattened ($3.30/m)
