hub help

really?? that seems pretty strange that they’d be unwilling to sell you a cog.

not sure how many of them have much experience with fixies. i’ve learnt not to go in unless big glenn’s working as he seems to be the only one that knows what’s goin on. i have heard another bad report previously though…nothin too specific, just that they were dickheads!

i can’t say a bad word about them really coz they’ve always been pretty good to me but i may be dropping in to Pony more often as it’s literally 500 metres from my work and Sasha seemed happy to explain things for me instead of just telling me what i needed to do. i like that.

but the hub saga and ray’s insistence that the hub was fucked isn’t a great sign really! :-o

cheers

Absolutely. My LBS said he thinks there’s no difference between a v-brake lever and dual pivot caliper lever. I bought a BMX lever anyway and it sure as hell is a big difference in leverage (I went from v-brake to 105 caliper to use a carbon fork).

About Ray’s cycles on Sydney Rd, I found the guys there (especially Glenn) to be really helpful and knowledgable
