So many things happened on that last day too!
What happened to Ty?
Lewis said he wasn’t in good shape at Woods Point but I don’t know if anyone’s heard from him since. Maybe Mike D knows
Caught up with Lewis at Eddy Gardens yesterday. He was in ridiculously spritely form given the kms he logged in the past week. He said after he pulled the pin just past matlock on wed night due to severe nausea he got ~4hrs sleep and woke up feeling fine so he hit it hard. And hard he did… looking at some of the spot reports and the time he took he was putting in 25+km/hr on the regular through the rolling bike path back. loaded. with 900kms in his legs. ive seen him more cooked from a 1hr CX race.
there was even talk he was going to be back on the circuit today slanging packages.
lot of talk about how amazing the countryside passed through was. plus there will certainly be some ‘unfinished business’ so i think if it happens again next year it’ll be very popular.
the ‘party train’ looks like it will be back just in time on saturday afternoon.
big ups to Jorja who is the ‘lantern rouge’ for the ride but is soldiering on after busting both shoes and rolling her ankle. she looks like she has passed dargo and is still rolling.
Ty is in Woods Point according to the trackers. Seems like Gareth is on his way to keep him company too.
I saw no sign of him in woods point. And his last spot is a day old. Either he bailed or finished solo with his spot off/outta batteries

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. Had such a great time out there and was great seeing all the support when I was able to get reception.
Just got word from Ty. He came down with a virus that kicked him in Licola and said he could barely walk after he eventually made it to Woods Point two nights ago. His partner picked him up from there, hence why spot hasn’t moved. Very glad he’s okay. Absolute legend. So good to ride with, definitely a bummer we couldn’t finish the thing off together after riding with each other for so long!
That sucks, Ty is a great dude and a total machine on the bike.

Day 1: 198km - 4237m
Day 2: 189km - 4650m
Day 3: 201km - 5462m
Day 4: 162km - 4847m
Day 5: 174km - 1700m
Funny thing? I’ve technically never ridden 200km in a day. Day 3 would have been the first except I pushed my bike 7km that day.
Geez, fair bit of climbing, hey. Nice one Lewis!
