I’m going to be taking part in the Hobart event. Can’t say no to a free breakfast!
Bugger! no free breaky where I work…
All good though, Im still riding
be riding to work as i usually do and making sure i arrive realy early so no one swipes my regular place on the fence i lock my bike to in the basement!
Go via fed square for breaky first.
I’m the only one that rides to work. And if any of these ‘once a yearers’ think they are having my spot indoors under the stairs they are dreaming. I might get there early and stand half way up the short but 50degres step hill just out side and scream encouragement at my fellow employees “C’mon, don’t let this hill get the better of you, get into it, thats it, make gravity your bitch”
Gold.
I have no parking issues at work. There’s a section of vacant wall just next to my desk. That’s my parking spot. If anyone else thinks they can put their bike there, they might just find their shiny new Huffy learning to fly off the balcony.
What a glorious day to ride to work! I haven’t ridden to work for 5+ weeks and it was awesome rolling my bike out the front door this morning.
I went to the free brekky in Fed Sq (I think I saw Damoh) and then headed out to the free brekky in Richmond that City of Yarra was putting on.
I wont be able to ride home, but at least I managed to ‘ride to work’
Who else rode and took advantage of the community brekkys?
Myself and a couple of others did an ‘extended’ ride to work this morning.
Out the Merri Creek Trail to coburg lake, then the breakfast in Coburg, then rolled down the bike trail by the railway line back to the city.
For a casual ride it was pretty extreme.
2 crashes!
On arrival at Coburg Lake I binned it on the checker-plate across the trail. Lesson learnt: wet metal on 23mm tyres is not the time to be out of the saddle.
Then chromeo had a stick flicked up into his front wheel right in front of me and did a beautifully executed forward somersault. Damaged his frame badly (most likely beyond repair) which was saddening.
Hopefully my ride home is smoother.
Great day for a ride though.
(whispers) pst! Nexus, cyclists are really just people on bikes, just like motorists are people in cars. So as we know, most people are FUCKWITTS.
Anyway where you been hiding hockey boy?
