Would be keen. But our only track is getting refurb’d at the moment. Not sure when its open again, and if they’d let a group commision it for an hour!
We could go to an old outdoor velo 300km;s south west of Perth, but it is that run down, and pretty much coated in chipseal.
welcome to the harrison street velodrome.
Not sure how I feel about this
hahaha likely there’ll be a bit of that
Yep I remember feeling this
Sounds like fun. I’ll give 30km a go on ~80gi (46x15).
#weaksauce
Im interested I’ve only ever rode at disc so i have no idea how different the outdoors are but i will try for 30km on a 48-16 maybe 48-15
I’ll be there with cowbells and vocal (dis)encouragement…
Blakey,
Any negotiability on the no brakes rule? It’s too much hassle to take brakes & cabling off a singlespeed for one ride.
How about if I just remove the brake pads instead?
Undo your brake cable clamp is easiest. (and fit a fixed wheel!)
Rules is rules!
I’ll have a go if I can put together a bike, otherwise it will be one hour of beers!
I think we both know the easiest thing is for you to lend me a bike.
Sure. Pickup/dropoff is at DISC. It’s your old bike after all.
Which one? The Ken?
yup.
Cool…I thought about that bike the other day. Nearly brought a tear to my eye.
I would like to join in… ummm NFI so 30km
Gear ratio… not sure yet
