Missing a Derailleur Hanger?

I noticed this on the Pelizzoli Blog.

Any takers as to why there is no derailleur hanger and the MAX T.T is orientated reverse?

I thought a replaceable hanger too, but I could not see the mounts/screws.

Haha the silly old guy has had way to many grappas and forgot it!!
