NJS-free zone

also maybe not to everyone’s taste…

The third (and possibly final) version of this bike. It’s been through 2x9 and 1x9 iterations, now it’s fixed and I’m happy. Truckloads of fun for cummuting, backroads, light singletrack and JRA.

Cotic Roadrat frameset. Bars are nitto noodles, Avid Single Digit 7 brakes (was going to do disks but couldn’t be arsed), Cane Creek Drop-V levers (extra cable pull for vees). Eno/CXP33 out back, Chris King/CXP33 up front (‘borrowed’ from my spare roadie). 45x18 gearing. Shitmano freewheel will probably never get used. Conti Sport Contact 700x35c for street, vittoria cross tyres for gravel. Hand-polished Salsa shaft post and no-name stem.

That shimano 600 group is my favorite.

Nice bike.

Is that a Dura Ace lockring?

Yep.

Now there’s an eye for detail.

love it. same chainring as i have. nice tires, nice everything. how do those levers feel? they wide on top or narrow?

So it’s not an NJS-free zone then. Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone

Win.

Nice bike; take the freewheel off if you will never use it though.
