Does anyone know of any Similar forums that are more just Bike freaks than Fixie?
I just bought this old Repco Folding Bike for $30 on Ebay and it has a couple of problems… - which is partly why i have a nasty graze up my left leg.
argh.
The Suntour 3 speed hub has a habit of going into “neutral” and i’m wondering what is the cause / how to correct it.
oh and how long do they make seat posts?
and it has cottered cranks how expensive is it to replace these?
oh and the rim seems to have a “flat spot” or somethign - like you can feel a bump when you ride the bike - how do i correct this?
Unless it’s very minor it’s probably not fixable. If it’s steel you might be able to bend it back into shape, or at least enough so you don’t feel it.
Have a look at www.bikeforums.net. There’s lots of forums and lots of people, so probably somebody who can help. And of course there’s lots of crap.
are replaement wheels hard to find?
are they BMX sized? they seem smaller.
Are they 16"?
I think 16", 20", & 24" are all widely used now so you shouldn’t have trouble finding rims, tyres and tubes.
