I always thought it meant that the item was as it was the day it left the factory :?

Obviously they are stretching the definition of NOS, but at least they explain what they mean: :roll:

original paint and decals on this frame were damaged during shipping many years ago and our owner had it sent out for powder coating -
this frame is 100% NEW and has never been built up or ridden

It’s a bit like the term ‘shop soiled’ which gets abused a lot.
