Paid memberships - $20/year.

Thats what Nick said

Hey guys, I dont have a paypal account. Do any mods work at any bike shops around the city/ inner city suburbs that i could drop cash into. I really want to support this forum. I’ve learn many things, and lost countless hours of sleep. Paying a mere $20 is the least i can do!

Done

PM NickJ.

It was a rough job but you get the idea.

After the initial subscription period is complete, the subscription will automatically be renewed with a new charge.

this bit of info seems to indicate the membership is direct debited yearly? i assume that’s not how it works, and at the end of the subscription an email reminder is sent out rather then being billed directly through paypal? i don’t want to be funding nickj’s lavish Bahamian lifestyle for the next 60 years…

heres a few, they may need work, im stuck on windows home proffesional paint, with 4 fonts.

thank you

A small price to pay to waste time at work.

Nice work, but I don’t think NickJ wishes to promote kebab’s or attribute a term for reticulating meat to paaying members. The correct spelling is donor but I admit to being involved in derailing your efforts. Döner means rotary or spinning (as in spinning kebab), so I guess that it does have some relevance to bikes.

Too funny. Nice work though

But LAM, 60 years at $20/month is only $1200 (not adjusted for inflation)! Seems like a bargain to keep a ginger and a Bahamian (Bohemian in the Bahamas, right?) on the road to shangri-la! But in all seriousness, yes, unless you change the default subscription settings, it is a yearly payment.

Obviously, if next year you actually see the Caribbean in my Flickr stream, and you’d rather to put your money into a better investment (such as lunar mining bonds), I’d understand.

How about $1 fine for every spelling mistake or incorrect grammar usage?

Paid. - I love the fact that from here on in, anyone without a donor badge is likely to be treated like a second class citizen. about time this place became a plutocracy!

I am embarrassed to say I don’t actually have 20 dollars in my bank account. This will all be fixed within the coming days I hope.

Great idea Tim. Then we can all retire early.

To the Bahamas no less!

And it should fund the site through to 2015 at least.

Nick, I’ve had a look at my Paypal settings and I’m unsure how to modify my subscription details. It seems the only option is to hit ‘cancel’, and it then says ‘Once you cancel this profile, you won’t be able to reactivate it. Do you want to continue?’. Not sure I want to do that.

I wonder if there is, as Lam queried, some way to set a reminder to pay?

I am of course 100% supportive and willing to donate, but I might just throw it all in and become a Bahamian myself soon enough, and I wouldn’t want to forget all about it.
