Polly in Sydney

I’m also in Sydney for the next few weeks, might try get along on one of these early morning rides. What time-ish are you back near the start point?

Jeremy

Depends mate. From darlinghurst to waterfall and back is around 85kms, I’d say maybe 2.5 hours round trip with favourable winds, with a quick pitstop at about the 55km mark to refill bidons etc. Budget 3 hours in case of a flat.

The mid week rides are around 1-1.5 hours
The bigger rides into the national parks are 3-4 hours of riding time

Lol, the ones from Darlinghurst - National Park - Darlinghurst are about 6-7 hours when you factor in stops to eat/rests at the top of hilly sections to regroup etc.

I might have missed it before, but where are you staying at Squiggle?

We could stop a bit less

That panini saved me, would stop again!

Perhaps we should organize a pie crawl. Like a pub crawl but for pie’s and were all on bikes. We stop for every good and noteworthy pie in Sydney. We could map out a course after we have suggestions from all here as to what they reckon is top pie. Hopefully enough Km’s between pie shops so we are ready to refuel.

My suggestions are Harry’s at Wolloomolloo
Harry’s Cafe de Wheels - Famous for Pies and Peas, Meat Pies, Hot Dogs in Woolloomoloo

And the original Dinky Di Pie bakery in Rose Bay
Dinky Di Pies

I’ve many an excellent boeuf bourguignon pie at dawn at Dinky Di (run by a frenchman btw) on Old South Head Rd. Get’s my vote for best pie’s. And always enjoy Harry’s for the atmosphere and maelstrom from a big night.

Ha. There’s also a Harry’s in Tempe which is pretty much on route to Waterfall.

Hannah’s hot pies in Pyrmont is awesome, too!

Yea it was a good panini and the blonde was worth it too

Fuck it’s not like we are all fat enough!!

The lady and I are gonna check this one:

French: Chrissie Abbott - Casual Cosmology, China Heights, Sydney

If anyone wants to roll through.

Might be out for a roll later tonight if you’re keen maaaan

we’re heading over there in 10… I’ll be the ₪₪₪₪ with the bright bike.

Haha could roll in for this.

You keen for 85-90 kms of rolling bunch ride in the morning mr prolly?

I vote we ride from here:

To Pie In The Sky, on the old pacific highway. Maybe we could all get a map with the safest route, and set off in 5 minute increments. Individual Pie Trial!

I’d come and join you tonight mr prolly but… The idea of leaving my over priced road bike locked to a pole in that area is a very poor one. I haven’t ridden the old tarck bike that far in maNy years either so thats not to smart either…

A few of us will be hitting up the waterfall bunch ride in the morning from Lattaria, the slow bunch leaves at 6.15 so I’ll be aiming to get there at 6 to have a coffee and all that.

Here is the goggle location if you wana join us. I’m riding a black parlee and will be wearing mostly back kit.
