46/17 is a bit lax, I would/do run a 49/17 and its fine up the hills.
I have sugino 75 bb/crankset/cogs and they have been good, no issues with open bb but I don’t ride that bike when it’s wet.
I’ve got em’ on my TT rig and I really like them. I can be a bit OCD for symmetry so I would run em’ on both sides and not connect one - or be ultra OCD and run a cable splitter and run both levers to the front?

Since gear only sell 46t will change the rear to a 16t
Also I have started considering the Colossi Low Pro with a full carbon fork

According to Gears site they can get the frames in any Pantone colours…(hopefully not too expensive on top of the frame for a single colour)
