50 bucks, fair cheap. Droz let us know what they say…
I have been to Mr Kleen 2 times, i used the bottom bracket cups to stop paint getting in there, but it seemed to work its way in, making it really difficult to remove the cups? That was only on one frame, the other I just taped it up, but make sure you use the right tape or it fucks up and melts into the thread
Wow, $50 is cheap to get it sand lasted blasted too. Drozzy is bang on about the Russian woman!
I got my frame back after a few days and have been busy putting it all together.
What I might do is start a new thread on How-to’s coz I wish someone had told me how to do things the right way from the start.
Will be posting pics soon, I’ll link to this post when I get a round tuit.
Couple of tips in the process, don’t get anal about getting the frame greasy with hand oils etc -I went in there holding the frame with tissues) to find they acid wash it. Also do not tape up anything, they do it for you -I taped up the top thread on the forks and the acid shrunk the plastic tape to the thread so had to clean that up.
You’re rather lucky up there, down here most Powdercoaters will not abrasive blast on site due to OH&S requirements, so most powdercoat jobs involve first having the frame abrasive blasted by a third party at extortionate cost, then getting it coated elsewhere. There are some who do it all on site but at the end of the day, your bike looks like a pool fence.
