I am thinking of giving my 09 white decalled SE Lager frame a fresh lick of paint to improve the aesthetics. Have scoured the forum for hints, came across this link:

I am keen to do it as quick as possible (only have the one bike and use it each day to get to work), so was interested in the following quote:
NOTE: If you have a new frame, simply remove all decals and remove the gloss with 600 wet and dry.
Do you reckon it would be alright to sand back as directed, then spray over that, or would this slightly lazy approach potentially yield a shit result? Ideally I would powdercoat but can’t be bothered with the inconvenience of being without the bike for a week or two so a weekend fix is what I am after.
