Just the word alone (compact) makes me grimace as do threads about compact vs. regular etc etc but I understand you’re all trying to get just the right ratio’s you need so you’re rolling along in the right range of gears.
Kanye, I gotz a proposition for you: Let’s fit your bike with a Nuvinci CVT hub. It should bring it up to UCI legal spec. and you’ll have every ratio under the sun + more. I’ve got a few Campagnolo stickers so nobody will ever know and you can tell 'em it’s a prototype. + all the fixed riders in Sydney (about 7 at last count … although most of them sit outside cafe’s so it’s hard to tell if they actually ride) will be proud as they’ll think you’ve gone back to a single gear drivetrain.
