I know, I know, there are threads on here already but they are OLD, and I need some up to date knowledge. Just after a sandblast, respray and finishing coat, where can you reccomend in Melbourne. Kevin @ Paconi quoted me $319, which is a) a touch more than I was willing to pay (but would have stretched to it for a decent job) and b) he would have the frame for 3 - 4 weeks, which seems ludicrous. I don’t want the cheapest guy-at-the-mechanics-with-a-tin-of-paint kinda job, I am after quality as it’s for a really nice old frame. Cool, go, thanks.

Charged me $275inc GST for clear over base with vinyl artwork under the clear. Took a week.
And he is absolute champ to deal with.

Thanks Evan, appreciate it - just dropped him an email. So his work is high quality? You’d think spraying a frame wouldn’t be rocket science but the number of frames I’ve seen with terrible lug definition and thick patches is astounding - granted many of these could have been home jobs, but still.
I have a couple of frames he painted on the floor if you want to have a look before you commit.
