Retro Roadies with Brifters

The Lemon-lime Jim Bundy:

My Van Werkhoven with Campy 9 speed during its build up.

Sold it not long ago.

Oh so Suweet!

Those wheels have been on every bike!

I just finished building this up for my partner (to her specifications) about 10 minutes ago.

Not sure what year Daccordi, 9 speed Mirage with a few record bits thrown in. I’ll take some more pics tomorrow in the daylight.

Pretty happy with how it came out.

That thing is huge!

The anti - Retro with Brifters bike.
Modern bike with 10 speed down tube shifters.

The other ANTI

Fixed with brifters, psychological satisfaction of a shift when the gear is not quite right…

That is totally WACK

Dodgy 8 speed brifters with completely worn out shifiters that were in the parts box, subsequently replaced with less comfprtable feeling standard brake levers.

+1, needs drive side pic!!

I knew the NDS would annoy, on a new post brifters incarnation and the DS pics didn’t really show fixed/brifters.

My Cannondale roadie, 1992. Carbon fork, 10 speed Veloce. Maybe not as “classic” as some of the steel bikes, but I like it enough for now.

Always liked the look of these frames, they have a timeless style about them

My now dead Olmo, 9 Speed Ultegra 6500.

My now dead Olmo, with Ultegra 6500

^ How did it die?

Usual, car - bent the frame to far, bent my arm way too far.

my merckx goes here I suppose

fuck that thing looks sweet.

here’s my van Werkhoven with '09 Ultegra
