Excluding cartridge Shiimano BB has anyone ever taken off the thread caps of cartridge BB and swapped them to the other ends. Drive side spindle is longer than non drive side and would therefore bring cranks and chainring closer??
Not on a cartridge BB but I flipped the spindle round on loose bearing BB. Seems to work OK except for the non-drive side sticking out a bit more.
Yes works fine- apart from putting the left hand crank out a bit further from the frame in realiton to the right- so can feel a bit odd at first.
