I just got back from saint cloud and there are 100 spots total, with 55 remaining, as of 5pm. First alley cat for me, bring it on!
me chaz and inhuman have spots 42-44
so all you others may as well not race beacuse between us three we have 1st, 2nd and dfl coverd
I like those odds.
I might race yet
I’d like to dispute your claim of dfl, I am racing…
If i can dfl at dirty deeds, I can dfl here too.
the trashtalkin’ begins again
dnf beats dfl
I see what you did there… but in my races DFL always trumps DNF. DNF’ing is easy… DFL takes skill.

^^ true, last alleycat I was on the brink of dnf very early on but pulled through hoping for a dfl but alas, didn’t achieve either, only mid table mediocrity… so I see your point.
this has got my name allllllllll over it
any places left?
Yeah there is, but i reckon most will go over the weekend…
Hey will we get numbered tickets to see how we finished???
Good way to see if we are all getting any better
want!!!
Is Converse an official sponsor of this event? You must have good insurance/permits for Tim to give the OK for their support.
gee mate, thanks for your concern. you clearly know the inner workings as well as i do and therefore understand that without all the t’s crossed and i’s dotted their involvement would not be happening…
No problem buddy. You’ve clearly done things the right way then and safely made the transition from cool underground event to something commercial with rad, legit non industry related sponsors.
First time I’ve ever seen an alleycat poster advertising in a shopping centre.
Sick!, I hope it’s mad fun and there’s even a sharking contest at the after party.
Oh, think before bothering to write a reply because I probably don’t give a shit and you’re wasting your time.
For real? Which shopping centre?
Its in the window of the Carhartt Store in the Melb Central & Saint Cloud…
Can’t really see what the problem is with Sponsors wanting to promote an event they have put both time and money into…
Not sure why there is so much negativity floating around when all we are trying to do is put on an awesome event for people to enjoy, have some fun and possibly take home some awesome loot…
Don’t mind me, I’m just old and grumpy and clinging on to the time when the Missed Connections thread actually meant something and alleycats were 90% couriers and a few drop ins, not mainstream commercial events like they’ve turned into. Not saying it’s a bad thing at all, I just miss riding my track bike and not having people look at me like I’m a sheep and a fashion victim.
If anybody wants my ride it’s gathering dust, PM me. I’ve held out hope for the last few years that the ‘fad’ will blow over and eBay will be inundated with cheap Campag parts as people move onto the next ‘cool’ thing . . . . looks like I shouldn’t hold my breath.
Have fun kids.
Omg what’s this guy on about… its an event for all to enjoy why should it be only for certain people. If you like riding fixed, SS or whatever do so. There is no need to watch who is doing what around you… cheer up grumps ![]()
