satin black nervex pro unknown

almost finished. just need to redish the wheel and get a chain and cog and some bolts.

components: frame ($38 off ebay) cinelli bars, 3tt stem, shifterbikes fork, fizik saddle, SR royal right crank and 54 tooth ring, left side crank -secondhand match. wheels are old road wheels, galli hubs.

looks awesome. Wow for good value.

Wow! What size cog are you going to run on the back? I started with a 49/16 combo and changed to 49/18 to make street riding more fun (similar gear inches to the ever popular 42/16).

I love the budget bikes as much as the bike porn

I found another Zurich recycling special last night, mid quality 57cm frame with Campy horizontal dropouts, just rideable. Going to see if I can create something single speed, with a zero budget.

17 or 18. it’s high, but it’s pretty flat round here, and i don’t really find any of the small hills round my place much trouble anyway. i’ll see how it goes.

orright. so i got some wheels and now i just need some toeclips and then i’m finally done. i have been overseas for almost 6 months, so that explains my slackness. anyway i got a set of those hillbricks, and some hot $5 bar tape from cecil walker, and i’m verry excited. this looks awesome…

only thing is it’s running 54X16. first (slow) trip will be to shifterbikes to get a new cog

Don’t you get cogs with the Hillbricks? I’m seriously looking at getting a pair myself, good value ya reckon?

a 15 and 16.

they seem okay. the guys at cecil walker thought the bearings were really smooth.
i think they added postage or something onto the cost when i picked them up, not really sure, but they ended up costing $385 or something similar. i’d like to see how they wear a bit but the tyres that come with them look pretty crap.

it’s gold now. $15 of paint and a couple of hours. not my best work, but a refreshing change,

How do you pump up the front tyre with such a small valve?

not very easily. the back one is even shorter. i think i’ll go back to normal tyres after i wear through these ones, the new frame colour doesn’t make them look as big, so not as cool, and it will be easier to get long stem tubes.
