Saturday Breakfast Ride

i have chafing so bad i can barely walk, let alone ride.

what from?

playing dutch rudder of course

you don’t “play” dutch rudder: it’s far too serious an undertaking for that.

Too much! Actually with the Sunday being stupidly hot and me planning to go to Soundwave it was a smart idea to make Saturday a very relaxed day.
Pizza time again tonight…

I’ll be out tomoz

hey there,

over from London, and been in Melbourne for the last month, and am heading to Sydney for two weeks from the 4th March, so this thursday.
What’s the haps on this ride? fast/slow? I’ve been out on a couple of the wednesday night rides here in melbourne, which were a stretch as I’m rolling on 28’s on the travelling bike, and the boys here like to sprint like billy oh pretty much the whole way, and I’m fast for short really short periods but not the whole 60 odd k’s.
I’ll probably come out anyway as long as I can find the start and the start isn’t too early, will be the morning after my first friday night in sydney after all.
Been on lfgss.com for a while so you can find my profile there, also, got a blog going about my worldwide bike travels.

Sorry for not reading the whole thread, in the midst of packing shit up before I head out to hang with the polo boys this evening.

be well

ps gonna post this up in the wed night evening rides as well.

pps how hilly is sydney? I am not a lover of the hills.

many thanks

saturday mornings are particularly cruisy and usually only a handful of people. if you come this saturday we can make sure to take you on a tour of the more picturesque sights, around the harbour then down to bondi or something. saturday mornings are the best time to be out looking around in sydney before everything gets busy.

hills are pretty much unavoidable… but you can be assured that no-one will be out to smash any on a saturday morning.

get along and share some pastries with us.

haha, yeah, we’re riding machines and could all ride the socks off sydney riders with one arm tied behind our backs for reals.

Should we a ‘Toilet Tour’ of the dunny cart lanes this week? Get to see a bit of a different Sydney to the usual…

@ heavy metal

cool, is there a link to the starting point? I’m staying in a hostel down in kings cross, so just need to figure out a route to get there. Also what time, 7.30/8.00/8.30?

Let me know.

looking forward to it…

Meets at 7am at the bottom of Martin Place (its a bit like a downhill pedestrian mall).

That early in the morning from the Cross you can probably just cruise down William St to Elizabeth. Hang a right. Follow Elizabeth to Martin Place (look for a big wide grey paved area). Hang a left and cruise down to the bottom.

Just do some backwards circles until people arrive. :stuck_out_tongue:

I won’t be there this week, but heavymetal sounds like he will be.

yeh, you know it. us sydney ppl are pussies.

I’m up for a Sat morning roll and the ‘dunny lanes’ sounds good…

DALLAS! how the fuck are ya? Assuming if you’re considering a ride that the ankle is pretty much getting better…

Hopefully see you on Saturday then.

yep, good… been doing a bit of riding. Nothing too out there. I’m up for a casual roll if you promise coffee! Got some cool xrays as a memento!

Will be good to see you again mate. Hopefully things have healed asthey should have.

Oooo a londoner. Fuck I better represent…

Work has been riding my arse like a banshee lately so I haven’t been able to fit in any decent weekday rides but this weekend I’m gonna drag my sorry arse out of bed.

Dallas did I see you hang a right into fox studios a couple of weeks ago? Work for Animal Logic?

ok, looks like we might have a few this week then. carlin is the man with dunny lane knowledge, unless someone else has scouted it out. i can’t remember the route from last time…

Bugger. Sounds like I’m going to miss a good ride.
