My shit/ pub bike…
Picked this heap up from the dump yesterday. It did have 14 gears but I ripped that off quick smart, and the tri-bars (wtf?), back brake & bottle cage. Unknown 27’ wheeled frame powder coated that crap celeste colour (hence Bianchi) with 7sp RX-100/ Araya wheels. Chucked a spare fixed on, shortened the rusted stiff chain (singer oil helped) and vwhala! … just gotta grind that big ring off (or the bolts)… maybe one day…
My everyday commuter/pub/groceries bike. Also known as: my only bike.
Lawrencia steel frame, mostly wrapped in inner tubes to cover it’s crapness (thanks Russian Gumtree guy)
27" rims laced to Normandy track hubs using DT spokes (thanks SanEsteban).
Origin cranks, no-name chainring and tektro TT lever (thanks William).
BO strap ons (thanks Markee).
Skin Grows Back top tube protector tubular shaped foam thing (thanks Jamie).
No name rear cog, KMC chain. Flipped and cut handlebars, covered in more inner tubes. Replaced seatpost, bottom bracket, pedals, brakeline and brakepads for standard but new stuff, nothing fancy.
Not pictured are rear clip-on fender and cheap ebay LED lights.
Running 50/17 ratio (about 80 inches) so need front brake. Will only skid when combined with front braking to shift weight. Or in very wet conditions whilst risking permanent knee damage. Gets me where i need to be though
