Simes Bosomworth

Sorry to hear this puppy got hurt. Definitely like the forks, white and chain look.

Couldn’t get Dan to bend the forks back? Or too far gone?

i really just wanted an excuse to put in some tighter and undrilled forks haha, the kens were like a match made in heaven (or shifterbikes) i love them.

Came across a nice old Cinelli stem, put on some Nitto risers and have been running it like this with the Gippieme Tecno416 on the front for a little while now

techno looks nice…do you have your front araya still? want to part?

this bike is sexy. I want that fork

thanks jontay, and the answers are no and no, sorry.

2joes2, fork is super tight and is designed for a 19mm tire. I have spacers in the tops of the fork tips to space the wheel away from the fork crown in order to run a 23mm tire… I still only have about 2mm clearance…

what do you put on the cranks after you polish them so they dont rust?
cuz they rust after you remove the anno right?

i have a set of 75’s too and the anno looks rank cuz of pitting n stuff
so im contemplating removing anno and polishing.

The Aluminium wont ‘rust’ but if not treated after polishing they will oxidise (blakey?) and become dull and lose their lustre.

Apparently Mr Sheen works well at keeping the cranks’ err Sheen.

I never treated mine and have been riding them in that raw state for close to 3 years now in all conditions. I’m not phased.

They will corrode/oxidise but it’s an even film of Al2O3 that forms instantly, you can clear coat to minimise this or keep polishing regularly to maintain the shine. They’ll only pit or severely corrode if left exposed to acids, caustics, living in a coastal environment and storing outside etc. Clean occasionally and you’ll be fine.
